If I join the Coast Guard as a Seaman or Fireman in the Coast Guard when can I change jobs?

What I mean is: After boot I plan on going in as a general seaman or Fireman and seeing what job I like. Then when I find one I like I want to switch to that job. Can I just up and change or am I stuck for my entire term?
