9 mth old...?

we have a darling 9mth old daughter.She has a strawberrybirth birthmark on her head. its been their sence birth. we are getting it removed in jan. has anyone else had a child with a strawberry birthmark? have you had it removed? how have you dealt with it? any problems after the surgery? thanks
