Can I learn everything I need to know before the release of the final movie?

Growing up, my mother never let me watch Harry Potter because she's super religious and thinks all the magic stuff is evil. I didn't really care because I had no desire to watch it anyway and even up until yesterday, I kind of just brushed it off saying it was stupid without giving it a chance. But I'm a giant glee fan and I kept hearing people talk about something called "A Very Potter Musical" starring Darren Criss (aka, Blaine off glee) and curiosity got the better of me so I decided to watch it. It was the funniest, most amazing thing I have ever seen. I'm 17 now so my mom can't stop me from watching and reading Harry Potter (well, I guess she could try, but she would fail) and I know that it's not going to be funny like AVPM, but I still think I would really enjoy it. Seriously, how I ever said Twilight was better than Harry Potter I'll never know. Seriously, Twilight sucks so bad in comparison to HP and I can tell that just by seeing a fanmade musical. God, I feel like such an idiot now. Anyway, I want to start with the books because that's always the best place to start and then I want to watch the movies online because my mom would never rent or buy them for me and I'm broke. Do you think I can get through the entire Harry Potter series in time for the last movie to come out in theatres?? Cuz I would really like so see at least one of the movies in theatres to make up for a lifetime of ignorance, but I don't want to go out of order. I'm a pretty fast reader but I am pretty busy with school work and everything but i'll have more time to read this summer. Thanks in advance. :)
